Role overview and Key Tasks

We’re looking for an experienced Business Change Manager to help us to understand, prepare, adopt and embed highly complex and diverse change, across a variety of systems and products, in 5 different countries.

You should be a proactive and enthusiastic leader with experience in managing change as you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and application of the business change framework, tools, and methodology to implement sustainable change across the Petcover Group.

It is a varied role in a fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. You will lead the team and bring with you a sound understanding of change management, and with support from the team will become a specialist in your field. You will work as part of a busy team, leading the Project Co-Ordinators in delivering our change portfolio and working closely with our change network, stakeholders and the senior leadership team.

Key Tasks

  • Leading the business change needed to align the business for growth and standardisation across all locations.
  • Creating, agreeing, and delivering an overall plan for business change across all business locations.
  • Providing a central point of contact for all change projects, both internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Managing the change prioritisation process to ensure that it is robust, transparent, fit for purpose and always considerate of the wider organisation goals.
  • Identifying and managing issues, risks and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Driving the full change delivery process from end-to-end (Initiation to Implementation), ensuring focus on the approved scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Ensuring processes and procedures are in place to support the effective delivery of business change projects.
  • Managing any delegated budget associated with the delivery of assigned change projects.

Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A proven understanding of the principles of change management or transferrable skills
  • The ability to use information to assess how change is landing and assess risks and blockers, supporting effective decision-making.
  • The ability to provide effective challenge to interested parties.
  • Leadership of direct and indirect teams
  • Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet demanding deadlines in a pressured environment.
  • Good interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels including stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter, confident and capable of working both independently and collaboratively to tight deadlines with plenty of initiative.
  • Strong IT skills in the use of Microsoft products, especially MS Word and PowerPoint.

Salary Details

£45,000 to £50,000

Group Marketing Manager

Job Description

Job Overview & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

  • Develop Group marketing strategies and align these with any country specifics.
  • Drive SEO activity to ensure all countries metrics are within the Strategic aims of being in the top three position within each country across key terms.
  • Work with the Board and analyse the results of the business and come up with strategies for the different products and Marketing campaigns.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the PR activities of the firm and its related agencies if any.
  • Research the current marketing trends and keep the board informed on competitors’ activity.
  • Ensure Marketing plans are maintained for each Country which encompasses group strategies but align to individual markets.
  • Continually identify and improve the product positioning and core customer segments.
  • Act as a link between the sales and partnerships teams.
  • Ensure country Marketing co-ordinators liaise regularly with the General Manger of each country and keep them informed of the Relevant KPI’s and marketing activity for their area of responsibility.
  • Determine the marketing budget and ensure the budget is not exceeded.
  • Ensure all marketing activity is consistent with Brand values and group brand standards are consistently adhered to0.
  • Have overall responsibility for Web sales and web brochureware but work closely with General managers to ensure local activities are delivered effectively.

Functional duties

  • Ensure efficient distribution of resources and assist the teams when required.
  • Manage small teams based in different locations.
  • Co-ordinate the campaign executions.
  • Come up with innovative, customer-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Get input and feedback from customers to continuously improve the growth.
  • Devise and follow the company’s agreed KPIs for Marketing.
  • Work with partnerships to negotiate with vendors and distributors to manage the product distribution, build distribution networks and distribution strategies and ensure the websites are effective.
  • Oversee the hiring, training and performance evaluations of the marketing staff and also their daily schedules.
  • Monitor and report all the marketing activities and their results.
  • Liaison with the media and ensure social media is controlled.
  • Sustain a good work environment and ensure that the customers, stakeholders and employees.
  • Monitor all the VOC Processes
  • Provide product enhancements for all the teams
  • Keep the costs to a minimum by monitoring the inventory of products with the help of the supply chain and operations teams
  • Know about the company data and structure and update the knowledge regularly within marketing.
  • As a group marketing manager, you will also have to co-ordinate with teams across different departments such as sales, corporate communications, legal, product development, engineering and more.
  • Meet or exceed the financial targets by the end of the quarter or financial year

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Leadership skills. This is one of the most obvious skills that you will require for the job. You will have to inspire your teams and also make executive-level presentations and both of these tasks require good leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinking. You will often have to combine or mix-and-match the classic strategic marketing skills in your work.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills. Companies may ask you for a written sample or request you to speak in front of a group to test you on these abilities.
  • You should also be familiar with the software programs for word processing, spreadsheet analysis and financial analysis.
  • Detail-oriented and organized. It is often the small details that can make or break a project. Hence, it is important that you as a group marketing manager are able to take care of even the smallest detail and remain organized to ensure perfection.
  • High energy levels. Senior level jobs involve demanding schedules and long working hours. You need to be an energetic individual to cope with the demands of the job and do justice to your work.
  • Ability to handle pressure. The field of marketing has a fast-paced, stressful environment with a lot of pressure. To work in this field, you should be able to handle the pressure constructively.
  • Enthusiasm, a passion for the job and being self-motivated are other important skills for a group marketing manager to possess.
  • Willingness to travel. Marketing is rarely a desk job and involves frequent traveling. You should be willing to travel when and where the job demands.
  • Knowledge of different languages and cultures. In this multi-cultural environment, knowledge of different cultures and languages is a big plus for a group manager.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Very good interpersonal skills. In marketing, you need to reason with, persuade, negotiate and manage your clients and employees. To do this successfully, you need to know how to handle people.
  • Creative and lateral thinker. The ability to think creatively and out-of-the-box is an essential skill for any marketing professional.
  • Teamwork. You should be willing to work in a team and share the spotlight.

Educational Background

  • The candidate to have a college degree in business (like MBA), marketing or any related field.
  • Along with the educational qualifications, work experience also matters.
  • You should also have at least 5+ years experience of leading a marketing team and managing projects and budgets.
  • Proven track record of competently delivering large-scale and/or multiple projects at a time.
  • Experience in planning and executing complex programs such as budget management.
  • Familiarity with tracking tools used to assess a campaign’s performance.
  • Experience in online marketing and advertising.

This role will be instrumental in rapidly growing our portfolio of existing customers and developing new products for our chosen specialist subject – Pets and those that build their businesses around them.

Our office is based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex; the position is remote but there will be occasions that you are required to visit the office.
